My journey as a counsellor began with a simple but deeply held belief: people do not struggle because they are weak, but because they have been carrying too much for too long — often on their own. Over the years, this belief has guided how I listen, how I sit with pain, and how I support individuals through moments of confusion, loss, and emotional exhaustion.

Throughout my professional experience, I have worked with individuals and families facing anxiety, depression, stress, grief, relationship difficulties, burnout, and life transitions. Many came into therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of themselves — not because they lacked strength, but because they had never been given the space to slow down and be truly heard. Witnessing these moments has shaped my therapeutic approach to be gentle, grounded, and deeply respectful of each person’s pace.

I believe that healing does not occur solely through advice. It begins when someone feels safe enough to tell their story without fear of judgment. In my sessions, I prioritise creating a calm and supportive environment where clients can explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviours with honesty and self-compassion. I integrate evidence-based approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), a humanistic approach, psychoeducation, and crisis support, while remaining flexible to meet the needs of each individual at that moment.

My academic background in psychology and counselling has strengthened my understanding of emotional well-being, stress, motivation, and human behaviour. However, it is the lived experiences shared by clients that have taught me the most — that progress is not always linear, that setbacks are part of growth, and those small, consistent steps can lead to meaningful change.

I am particularly passionate about helping individuals who feel emotionally tired, burnt out, or disconnected from them. Many people function well on the outside while quietly struggling within. Therapy offers a space to pause, reflect, and reconnect with what matters most to you — your values, your boundaries, and your sense of self.

Seeking support can feel intimidating, especially if you are used to being the strong one. You do not need to have everything figured out before starting therapy. My role is not to “fix” you, but to walk alongside you as you gain clarity, build healthier coping strategies, and move forward with greater self-understanding and confidence. Healing is possible, and you deserve support along the way.
